About Leelavathi Sulochana
Leelavathi Sulochana was the silver screen adoption of Pammal Sambandham Mudhaliar's stage drama. Pammal Sambandham Mudhaliar is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of modern Tamil theatre. The film was directed by noted director P.V. Rao and also marked the introduction of C.S. Jayaraman as a young boy who later became very popular due to immortal songs like 'Kutram Purinthavan' in the hit movie Ratha Kanneer.
