About Mazhalai Pattalam
Mazhalai Pattalam (1980) was a Tamil comedy movie directed by Lakshmi and produced under K. Balachander's supervision.
Visu who was assisting director K. Balachander during that period wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the movie. Delhi Ganesh - who honed his acting skills in the K. Balachender school dubbed the dialogues for hero Vishnuvardhan. The main story of the movie is that of a widower Gowri Manohari (Vishnuvardhan) with many children and a widow who was a similar family and how the two families come together.
M.S. Viswanathan scored the music for the movie and the movie had memorable songs in 'Thallu model vandi ithu thalli vidunga' and 'Gowri Mahoariyai Kanden'.
