About Sathi Anusuya
Having acted as Naradhar earlier in the Tamil movie Bhama Vijayam(1934), Carnatic vocalist G.N. Balasubramaniam again played the same role in the 1937 movie Sathi Anusya directed by Fram Sethna.
Even though the movie is about an Indian mythology, there was a shot of the Charka in the movie which added a political message showing support for the Swadeshi and Civil disobedience movements.
